How are you? Like really, how are you? Take a second to think about it and feel free to reply back to this email or just sit with yourself and understand your feelings. Life can be so wild and crazy we forget to sit and think about how we really are doing but it’s so important to understand. So much of who we are, what we do and how we react comes from how we are doing mentally and physically. Our emotions are deeply rooted in our mental AND physical well being. So I’ll ask again, how are you? MOTHERHOODI’m currently reading a book called ‘Giving Your Words’ by Sally and Clay Clarkson and highly recommend you check it out! It’s about the life giving power of words in your home and how to use your words to shape your children for a life of living for God. Also, if you haven’t already, check out Sally Clarkson’s podcast At Home with Sally. She has been one of the most encouraging and peaceful influences in the world of motherhood. During our NICU stay with Asher her podcast gave me the peace my anxious heart needed. I recently told her this through a message on Instagram and she told me she was born at 35 weeks in the 50s!! I thought it was really neat how God used her to give me peace in a similar situation that she lived through!! If you are living or parenting in a situation that feels impossible to get through, look to God, He is bigger!! God can do anything, include what people say is impossible!! MARRIAGEWhen was the last time you and your husband went on a fun date? I’m not talking your typical dinner and shopping date, I mean do something adventurous that’s you couldn’t easily do with kids. This past weekend my husband and I went on a really fun date and packed a bunch into it. We ate a good meal, raced go carts, played at the arcade and even went to SeaWorld and rode 1 roller coaster before the storm hit and then walked out in the pouring rain! It was so fun and adventurous compared to our usually dinner and shopping dates and I want to encourage you and your husband to plan a fun date as well! It’s so much fun to make memories as a family but connecting with your spouse in fun ways is so important too. Go have fun together!
